BACHATA - Bachata groups mainly play a straightforward style of bolero
(lead guitar instrumentation using arpeggiated repetitive chords is a distinctive characteristic of bachata), but when they change to merengue-based bachata,
the percussionist will switch from bongo to a tambora drum. Bachata is a style
of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over
the world but not identically. The basics to the dance are three-step with a Cuban hip motion, followed by a tap including a hip movement on the 4th beat.

SURF MUSIC (also called Surf Rock or Surf Pop) is rock music associated with surf culture, particularly heard in Southern California. The instrumental
is distinguished by reverb-heavy electric guitars played to evoke the sound
of crashing waves, largely pioneered by Dick Dale and the Del-Tones.
Here's are some common elements of Surf Music:
-
Instrumental music.
-
Guitar melody.
-
Clean tones, with reverb and/or echo.
-
Distinctive drum beats that push the music forward.
-
Simple song structure and chords.
-
Single coil guitars, primarily Fender or fender like.
